Busy Bees!!

Wow! This weekend flew by.....

Saturday morning I had to go to a Econ review session. (I'll spare you all the details.) Then I picked up Triston from Grandma's and we then rushed home, changed for soccer and headed to the field.

Triston plays defense and I must say he is awesome! At first he was playing offense and the other team scored 4 points against us. Coach finally told Triston to get back on defense and then the other team only scored one more point the rest of the game! I am so proud of my little man! The final score was 5-5. So far this season we are undefeated! Go Lightning!!!

After the game we rushed home cleaned up and headed to meet Jeremiah. We then all piled into the Suburban and headed to BabiesRUs. I know what you are thinking! "Are you crazy!!!" Taking a 7 year old to go register is not the best idea but I didn't have much of a choice if I wanted to get it done before the baby arrives. Every weekend is already scheduled through July. But this is how I decided to deal with the situation....

Rule 1 - You must be on your BEST behavior.
Rule 2 - No playing in the store!
Rule 3 - You can pick out 1 toy for your baby sister.
Rule 4 - Do not interrupt Mommy and Daddy when they are having a "discussion".

Well lets just say even though Triston agreed to all the rules and promised me that he would be a perfect child it didn't happen that way. Unfortunately he wasn't the only issue I was dealing with that day. I was exhausted! Which means I was emotional! We didn't even make it out of the first section before I was in tears. Let's face it..... bottles and pacifiers are hard items to pick out under pressure. Jeremiah kept saying "What does it matter? Just pick one!" But I wanted to read the back of the box and then compare brands and consider the cost.....

I am sure you can see how this was destined for disaster. Once out of the bottles, pacifiers, ointments and other confusing items we went on to the fun stuff. Strollers, playpens, bouncy seats and blankets. Luckily Jeremiah and I have similar taste is these items so this went pretty smoothly. Of course when you only have 2 pink strollers to pick from it doesn't leave much room for discussion. Overall the whole ordeal lasted about 3 hours. We then proceeded to our next location.... JCPenney's. Jeremiah had learned from the last location and left me in the car. He ran in and found a clerk so we could pick up our crib and changing station. While in the car Triston kept asking if I was ok because he had just witnessed his Mommy crying at BabiesRUs. I assured him that I was fine and that sometimes mommies just get emotional. Once the furniture was loaded we headed home. Jeremiah cooked dinner and I went and took a long shower to try to relax from our exhausting day. We then ate and planned out Sunday which included a trip to Lowes and Sam's. We wanted to get the closet organizer and a few items at Sam's.

We woke up at 7 and I made pancakes (which baby Hannah did not like) and then we headed out to run our errands. $300 dollars later we were on our way home. (It's amazing how you go for a few items and end up spending so much.) When we got home I started working on Triston's new room. By the end of the day we had Triston new closet organized and done. Now our next step is paint, put up crown and move in his furniture. Triston is very excited about this move because the guest room is bigger.

Even though it was an exhausting weekend I feel that we got several things accomplished and are well on our way to having both rooms completed by the time our new one arrives.

Cool, but weird....

Jeremiah felt the baby kick! I woke up this morning and baby Hannah was moving like crazy. Jeremiah put his hand on my side and she immediately stopped kicking. Daddy's hands are powerful! A few moments later she kicked his hand. Jeremiah quickly moved his hand away and said "That's weird!" I said "Isn't is neat to be able to feel her move?" He just replied "Cool, but weird!"

Jeremiah's mom and dad ordered the dresser last night so that makes Hannah's room complete! Now just to fill it up with baby stuff! I can't wait until her room is totally done and all the furniture is put together. It will be beautiful! Thanks to all the people that made it possible for Hannah to have beautiful furniture!! We greatly appreciate all your love and support!

A great ending to my day.....

Yesterday started out like any other day. Went to work.....after work went to my Geology class.....watched an extremely boring video about dinosaurs..... and then had the added pleasure of watching the behind the scenes video too.....

It wasn't a bad day at all. Actually it was quite great. My mom & grandma ordered the crib for the nursery and my mother in-law and father-in-law, that live near Austin, ordered the changing station. I am super excited to see it in the nursey. Of course this has really pumped us up to keep planning. It's so real now! We are very blessed that our family has pitched in and purchased the big items so we can focus on the remodel of the nursery. Jeremiah is working on building a closet organizer for Triston's room and the nursery, not to mention the painting and crown molding that will be going on in both rooms. I am so excited to see both rooms put together and finished. Triston is very excited too!
This is a picture of the nursery furniture! We love it!!!

Once home and done with the "exciting dino video". Jeremiah had taped my favorite comedian Ron White's new show. If you haven't had a chance to see him you are truly missing out. I laughed so hard I was crying!

I think all this laughing and commotion stirred up my little one because a little while later while I was finishing up a quiz for my Econ class online she started moving like crazy. I had my hand right on top of my stomach and all of a sudden she kicked it! This is the first time I have felt her kick on the outside. Then she started moving all around. It was the most AMAZING feeling! Very weird..... but awesome to think that this little person is growing inside me! A hour later when I was laying down trying to sleep she kept sqirming around. She was punching my hand that was laying on my side. She kept me up for a while but finally settled down for the night. Jeremiah was asleep so he didn't get a chance to feel her kicking but hopefully soon he will get the chance.

It's a GIRL!!!!!

Thursday night I had a dream that the doctor told us we were having a girl. All day Friday I was waiting for our 3:15 appointment. We were so excited! Once the sono started it took all of 5 minutes for the doctor to tell us we were having a girl! Of course she wouldn't say she was a 100% sure but she checked several times during the sono and each time she said it was girl. Our little one was still not fully cooperating because she was folded in half. So the doctor could not get a great picture of her heart. So I go back in 2 weeks so she can check her heart and hopefully see all the chambers.

We are so happy to be having a girl and everything seems to be going great. The doctor says everthing looks healthy. We thank God for our little blessing! Triston was bouncing up and down asking me if it was a boy or girl. He was so excited when he found out it was a girl. (He thinks he won't have to share his toys if it's a girl.) He is going to be a great big brother!

My mom went shopping Saturday morning and got some adorable clothes for our little girl.

Aren't these just adorable. Of course then I had to go shopping too. So Shelley and I went shopping and found some cute outfits too.

This was one of our favorites. It's hard not to buy everything pink but this one we couldn't pass up.

I think this one might be in line for the outfit she wears home. I am still looking but so far this is my favorite. Shelley picked out several other adorable outfits and I can't wait to see our little one in them.

Patiently Waiting????

Tomorrow is the big day! We go back for another sono. All week I have been anxiously waiting for tomorrow's appointment. Monday I went for my "normal" appt and everything was great. Still no weight gain but the doctor isn't worried. Of course I am thrilled!

From the time I got home to 10pm last night I spent cleaning and organizing the guest room. I have to completely clean out the guest room so we can move Triston's bed in the guest room and turn Triston room into the nursery. Jeremiah wasn't too pleased with my enthusiasm to do it all last night. I tried to explain to him that I won't feel this good in a month or two and he should take advantage of my help now. But there was no reasoning with him last night. Poor guy he had a tough day at work. I guess I could be nesting early but whatever it is I was ready to do it all last night. It's amazing the stuff you accumulate over the years. I'm still not sure what I am going to do with it all.

Wish us luck tomorrow! Hopefully the baby will cooperate and I will know if I am buying pink or blue.

Easter Blessings....

This year we went to my Aunt Sandy and Uncle Bill's place for Easter. It was great to see everyone. It was such a beautiful day. Luckily we celebrated on Saturday so the weather was wonderful! Their place backs up to the lake so we just had to take a short walk through the trails to be on the beach. Triston had a blast! Their place is a kids' wonderland. Tons of trees and lots of places to play hide and seek. Of course the Easter Bunny had lots of places to hide Easter eggs.

What a pair! Triston had a blast with his cousin Cameron.

Yes..... That bag was already getting full. Triston is such a good hunter that he needed a big bag!

Triston loves the camera! He's my handsome little man.

How did an egg get in the tree?

Can you count how many monkeys are in the tree?

Weston is keeping an eye on all the action. My little nephew is not so little anymore.
My mom and cousin Paul are hanging out. Isn't my mom beautiful!

This year we combined the Easter celebration with my grandma's 80th birthday. Of course my grandma doesn't act 80. She still push mows the lawn!

I love my Nena! She is such a wonderful grandma and friend! Yep that is my baby bump you see. There is no hiding it now.

Baby G!!!

I have been a very bad blogger and haven't kept up with all the changes in our life. In December we found out we were pregnant. We have been very excited about this blessing in our life! It's been a bumpy road since but an amazing one as well. At first I was having alot of cramping and then a few times I have had some spotting. But every scare God has gotten us through and the baby is fine. I am now at 21 weeks and growing more every week. It's been a very busy time in our lives. Triston is back in soccer and I am finishing my associates before I transfer to UTA.

Being so busy has made this pregnancy go by pretty fast. I'm already half way through and I can't believe it's just around the corner. Triston is so excited about being a big brother. Jeremiah is so protective and has been really supportive. The first 18 weeks I was very sick and couldn't keep much down. Jeremiah has had to take on all the household duties. The past few weeks have been better for me. I have more energy and haven't been as sick. I still have to be careful with my food selections and some things still turn my stomach but overall I think I am through the "worst" part.

With all the issues with this pregnancy I have been lucky to get several pictures of our little one. None have been very clear. (The sono machine they are using has 8 year old technology.)

Here is Baby G at 6 weeks. Just a little ball.....

12 weeks.....Baby G is looking down and this is a side view.......you can see the spine and the outline of the head.

And now at 20 weeks...... We really wanted to know if we were having a boy or girl but little one was not cooperating. Baby G kept his/her legs crossed the entire time. Our doctor is getting a new sono machine so hopefully we will have better pictures soon. Everything appears healthy and little one is right on target.

I will try to be a better blogger and keep you posted on any updates. Please keep us all in your prayers as we go through this exciting time in our lives.
