Christmas....

Here are the two men in my life. I am such a blessed wife and mom.
Triston had fun with his cousins at Christmas. We don't get to see them very often but it's good to get together.

Here is our little "bow head".

Samantha and Stephanie are my little angels.
Sydney is so cute. She is growing up so fast. She is my girly girl. She loves to play with Aunt Krysta's hair.

Every year we wake up before daylight and open presents. This year was no different. Triston woke us up ready to see what Santa had brought.

He got a laptop this year. He loves playing with Webkinz and he is starting to do some research projects at school. Before long he will pass me on all the technology stuff.

Our California Trip

Jeremiah had a work trip to Carlsbad, CA so I tagged along. We had so much fun. While he was off working I went to the beach and spent the day. I found a few trails close to the hotel and took some nature walks. It was just what we needed! Every night we enjoyed the local fresh seafood. I believe we found the best fish tacos on the West Coast!
These are some of the creatures we ran into. We also saw some dolphins but I wasn't quick enough with the camera.

On our last day we went driving through the wine country and found a little ranch that they have turned into a park. Several old westerns have been filmed at the ranch so it was cool to see all the pictures and get a feel for what it was like when the film industry was getting started.

Our future hunter......

Little man was practicing his sharp shooting skills at the deer lease with his BB gun. Watch out water bottle!!

Look at him..... he is getting so big. It seems like yesterday that he was learning to walk and now he is shooting his first gun. Wow how time flys......

Halloween???

This year we didn't get to participate in the "normal" Halloween night activites because of Aunt Kristy's wedding but we did go to our friends annual party. We had a blast! They close off the street and had bounce houses and hay rides and tons of food. Here are some pics of our little man playing with his friends.

How low can you go?

I think Ninja was the theme of the night. How many do you see?
And off we go on the hay ride..... hold on tight.....

Our Furry Family

Scooby is the oldest and wisest of our furry ones. He will be eleven soon. He is aging gracefully. What a handsome old man. (Yes he does think he owns the place.)

Molly is my little angel. She was our wedding present. Jeremiah says we bought her for $300 but she's cost us thousands... Just FYI... Man's Best Friend doesn't always work. Although she can sit. She is the little instigator. When she starts barking they all start. Jeremiah just loves it.

Puppy is the newest to our family. We got her in July 2007. When we took her in she was skinny, bloody paws and had "cherry eye". I didn't want her. I thought she was one ugly dog. Jeremiah insisted that she would be a good dog. After getting her back to health and having eye surgery, she has turned out to be a wonderful part of our family. She does not understand personal space. But she sure does look cute when she is sleeping.

Lazy Weekend

This was a lazy weekend. Jeremiah went to the lake and Triston and I camped out at the house. We cleaned house and I studied for my test. (Triston says "You clean every Saturday, Mom") Triston and I made a tent in his room. He decided it would be his movie theater.

This is the "Premier Grand Opening". Look at my little munchkin peeking out. He is the cutest little guy. It's great to have a weekend to ourselves without schedules. This is when we turn on the music and dance around and act goofy. (Sorry no pictures of me dancing.)

Triston was tying the dog toy to the yellow hummer and making Scooby chase it around the house. He makes me laugh. Scooby wasn't impressed......

Kristy's Bridal Shower

After months of planning the day finally came for Kristy's bridal shower. Aarin and I had fun planning and throwing the shower. I spent the last two days before the shower making 120 cupcakes with Kris and Jud's initials written on each cupcake. My mom came over and helped me with the decorating. I wanted every detail to be perfect for Kristy.

We played games like "Who knows the bride and groom the best?" and made wedding dresses from toilet paper. Everyone seemed to have a great time and we had lots of compliments.

Kristy was happy how everything turned out and said it was more than she expected. With details like handmade invites and custom cupcakes this party was a huge success. And the best part is that it is over!

Competition

KJ and Wilson

Eddie and Glenn

Jeremiah entered his first BBQ competition at the VFW in Gainesville. I woke up sick that morning so I didn't show up until late that evening. Jeremiah and Eddie named their team Big Boy Ribs. After turning in their entries at 4:00pm they had to wait till 8:00 to get the results. Meanwhile Jeremiah decided to enter the steak competition too.

Wilson and KJ were in the competition too and entered the beans and the steak competition. Jeremiah's team brought in 1st in ribs and 2nd in steak. Wilson's team won 1st in steak. Overall it was a great day for everyone. We got to spend time with our friends and made some great memories.

Jeremiah nevers smiles but he was very happy inside. Of course Triston was thrilled that his daddy won! The three musketeers!

Pregnancy and Loss

For those that read my other blog. I have decided to make it private and use it as a diary instead of a public read. We found out we were pregnant on June 11th (Triston's b-day). We were thrilled. I was told that I was 4 weeks pregnant. On July 9th I started spotting and by July 14th I had miscarried. We tried everything to save the baby but it was not in God's plan.

We have purchased a star located in the "Little Dipper" named "Baby Gaither" in memory of our angel. We thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts during that painful time. We continue to heal and still have some rough days but I believe God will bless us again in the future.
